Additional Notes for the 2010 State Conference:
· Deadline for registration: March 17th· It has been discussed that the room clean up was not to the discretion of Webster and we are trying to make sure that there are no additional charges. In light of that, we are going to have sign up times where you can check out of your room with one of the TSA personnel and then the TSA representative with check-out with a Webster personnel. · NO LATE Registration !!! · Sponsors/chaperons- There will be a $35.00 fee for the sponsors/chaperones · Technology Bowl- When signing student up on-line you are signing the individuals for the written exam. This is not or does not have to be your ORAL team. We will ask for these on-site. Please be ready to help chose this team. You will not be provided the scores from the test to determine the team. The teams will be placed by the average of the written test taker’s scores. · Coordinators- You are asked to come up with the test, on-site problem, and materials for the event you are coordinator for. You serve as the “expert” for this event. In some cases you will need to judge it as well, with other judges. Should you need judges to help in the judging for an event that you coordinate, please let me know. Some events there will be many judges to assist you. Let’s work together to make judging go as smoothly as possible. You are also required to set the area on the score sheets that will serve as a tie-breaker BEFORE the event starts. You should also go over all rules and regs with your judges before the judging. · All Advisors- Things go so much more smoothly when there are lots of judges and we all roll up our sleeves and get things done. If you would like to help with a certain event, please let me know. I am requesting help from the Salina area and using alumni too! I will need people last minute, please be willing to help!
